Kentsel dönüşüm sürecinde kent hakkı mücadelesi: İzmir Karabağlar Kentsel Dönüşüm Projesi örneği

Bu çalışma, kentleşme sürecini, ekonomik, fiziksel ve sosyal olarak etkileyen kentsel dönüşüm sürecini, İzmir Karabağlar Kentsel Dönüşüm Projesi örneğinde incelemektedir. Çalışma, kentsel dönüşüm projesine karşı çıkan mahalleliler tarafından kurulan, Karabağlar Mahalleler Birliği üyelerinin mücadelelerini ve kazanımları kentsel toplumsal hareketler ve kent hakkı talebi çerçevesinde incelenmektedir. Araştırmanın sonucu olarak, proje süresince, sürece dahil edilmeyen halk, dernekleşme yoluna giderek kentsel bir toplumsal hareket oluşturmuş ve kent hakkı taleplerini ortaya koymuşlardır. Bölge sakinleri, en temel insan hakkı olan barınma hakkı ve yaşam alanlarıyla ilgili alınacak kararlarda söz sahibi olmak istemektedirler.

This study examines the process of urban transformation that affects the urbanization process economically, physically and socially in the context of 'İzmir Karabağlar Urban Transformation Project. The study examines the struggles and achievements of the members of the 'Karabağlar Neighborhood Association', which are set up by the neighborhoods against the urban transformation project, on the basis of the demands of urban social movements and the right to the city. As a result of the research, during the project, the people who were not included in the process formed an urban social movement on the path of association and put forth demands for the right to the city.
