dc.description.abstractXII. yüzyılın sonları ve XIII. yüzyılın başlarında Bizans merkezî otoritesinin çökmesi sonucu Batı ve Kuzeybatı Anadolu’da Alaşehir, Menderes havzası, Sampson ve Paphlagonia gibi önemli merkezlerde Bizans yönetiminden bağımsız bir idare kurmak isteyen çeşitli yerel hâkimler ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu yarı bağımsız idarecilerden en önemlileri arasında Manuel Mavrozomes, Theodoros Mankaphas ve Sabbas Asêdenos’u sayabiliriz. Hâkim oldukları bölgelerde bağımsız bir idare kurmak isteyen bu isyancılar, Selçukluların ve yerel halkın desteği ile Bizans yönetimini uzun süre uğraştırmışlardır. Nihayet İznik imparatoru I. Theodoros Laskaris zorlu bir mücadelenin ardından bu yerel hâkimleri itaat altına almayı başarmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractDuring the last period of the 12th century and the first decade of the 13th century the various semi-independent governors of important locations in the western and north-western Anatolia such as Philadelphia, the Meandric plateau, Sampson and Paphlagonia, considered themselves absolved from loyalty to the Byzantine Emperor, since central administration had collapsed (especially after the official capital had passed into Frankish hands). Most important of these semi-independent governors were Manuel Mavrozomes, Theodore Mangaphas and Sabbas Asedenos. These pretenders caused trouble for central government for a long time by supporting the Seljuks and native inhabitants of Anatolia. Eventually Emperor Theodore I Lascaris managed to subdue these pretenders after the forceful struggle.en_US
