| dc.description.abstract | Bu yüksek lisans tezi, tüm zamanların en ünlü epik şiirlerinden ikisi olan İlyada ve Odysseia'nın yeniden anlatımı ve uyarlamaları yoluyla anlatıların evrimini incelemektedir. Çalışma, karşılaştırmalı bir analiz yaklaşımı kullanarak, bu eski Yunanca metinlerin yeniden anlatımının ve uyarlamalarının zaman içinde anlatılarını nasıl dönüştürdüğünü incelerken, bu uyarlamaların üretildiği kültürel, sosyal ve tarihsel bağlamlarla ilgili olarak bu değişikliklerin önemini de araştırmayı hedeflemektedir. Tezin ilk bölümü, klasik dönemde sözlü geleneğin ortaya çıkışıyla başlayan ve İlyada ve Odysseia'nın tarihsel ve edebi bağlamlarıyla devam eden yeniden anlatım tarihine kapsamlı bir genel bakış sunmaktadır. İkinci bölümde, farklı edebiyat eleştirisi türleri ve daha yeni edebiyat türleri üzerinden bu metinlerin yeniden anlatımlarından ve uyarlamalarından bir seçki incelenmektedir. Bu bölüm, uyarlamaları yakından inceleyerek, yeniden anlatımların orjinal anlatıları nasıl uyarladığını, yeniden yorumladığını ve dönüştürdüğünü tartışmayı amaçlamaktadır. Tezin son bölümü ise, bu dönüşümlerin önemini ve çağdaş kültürel üretim üzerindeki etkilerini analiz etmektedir. Bu çalışma, yeniden anlatımlar ve uyarlamalar yoluyla bu anlatıların evrimini araştırarak, bu antik Yunan metinlerinin çağdaş kültürel üretimi nasıl etkileyip ilham verdiğine ve modern izleyicilerde yankı uyandırmaya nasıl devam ettiğine ışık tutmayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma, nihai olarak, İlyada ve Odysseia'nın yeniden anlatımlarının ve uyarlamalarının, bu destansı şiirlerin ve onların kalıcı anlatılarının devam eden alaka düzeyini ve uyarlanabilirliğini göstermeyi hedefliyor. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This Project, through this master's thesis, examines the evolution of narratives through retellings and adaptations of two of the most famous epic poems of all time, The Iliad and The Odyssey. Using a comparative analysis approach, the study investigates how the retellings and adaptations of these ancient Greek texts have transformed their narratives over time. The study also explores the significance of these changes in relation to the cultural, social, and historical contexts in which these adaptations were produced. The first section of the thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the history of retelling, starting with the emergence of the oral tradition in the classical era, and continuing with the historical and literary contexts of The Iliad and The Odyssey. The second section examines a selection of retellings and adaptations of these texts across different types of literary criticism and newer genres of literature. Through a close analysis of these adaptations, the study investigates how the retellings have adapted, reinterpreted, and transformed the original narratives. The final section of the thesis analyzes the significance of these transformations and their implications for contemporary cultural production. By investigating the evolution of these narratives through retellings and adaptations, the thesis sheds light on how these ancient Greek texts have influenced and inspired contemporary cultural production, and how they continue to resonate with modern audiences. The study ultimately argues that the retellings and adaptations of The Iliad and The Odyssey demonstrate the ongoing relevance and adaptability of these epic poems and their enduring narratives. | |
