Results: The smoking cessation rate was 36.8%. When smoking and non-smoking groups were compared; it was seen that young age and regular exercise habits showed statistically significant difference in favor of smoke cessation group (p<0.05). No statistically significant difference was observed in terms of other variables (p>0.05). Conclusion: Cessation of smoking with acupuncture is an effective and safe method in the short term. Long-term studies are needed to evaluate the effects of acupuncture on long-term smoking cessation.
