w ÖZET KARADENİZ BÖLGESİ ORTASU TROL BALIKÇILIĞI ÜZERİNE BİR ÖN ÇALIŞMA AYAZ, Adnan Yüksek Lisans Tezi,Su Ürünleri Anabilim Dalı Tez Yöneticisi: Doç. Dr. Ali KARA ' Eylül 1998, 59 Sayfa Karadeniz dünya denizleri içerisinde ikinci derece verimli denizlerdendir. Türkiye deniz balıklan üretiminin %70' i bu denizden elde edilmektedir.bu üretimin büyük bir bölümünü pelajik balıklar teşkil etmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Karadeniz'de pelajik balıklar avcılığında yeni uygulanmaya başlayanortasu trol takımları incelenmeye başlamıştır. İncelemenin sonucunda; bölgeye ilk 1978 yılında italyadan getirildiği ve şu anda, kış aylarında, tahmini olarak 100'ü aşkın teknenin ortasu trol balıkçılığı yaptığı saptanmıştır. Bölgede kullanılan ortasu trol ağlarının yapılarında, İtalyan ağlarına göre bazı teknik yapı farklılıkları olmasına karşın, ağların genelinde italyan ağlarının özellikleri görülmektedir. Operasyonda kullanılan teknelerin güverte üstü mekanizasyonları ve elektronik cihazları, modern ortasu trol balıkçılığına göre eksik olduğu saptanmıştır. Bunun yanında ortasu trol balıkçılık operasyonları sonucunda Hamsi {Engraulis encrasicolus) ve az miktarda Mezgit (Merlangius merlangus merlangus) balığı yakalandığı gözlenmiştir. Yakalanan Hamsi balıklarının 7 cm boyundan 15 cm boyuna kadar dağılım gösterdiği ve ortalama 11.09 cm boyunda oldukları yapılan ölçümler sonunda bulunmuştur. Mezgit balıklarına ait boy gurubu ise 8.5 cm boyundan 22 cm boyuna kadar ve ortalama 13.3 cm boyunda oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Ortasu trolü, Karadeniz, Hamsi
V ABSTRACT A PRELIMINARY STUDY ON MIDWATER TAWLS IN THE BLACK SEA AYAZ, Adnan Msc, in Fishery Faculty Supervisor: Ass. Prof. Dr. Ali KARA September, 1998 The Black Sea is classed as a second level sea for productivity. Seventy percent of Turkey's total marine fish production comes from the Black Sea. The Pelagic fish make up the majority of the total marine fish production. In this study, the mid-water trawl was examined fishing equipments, currently being used in the Black Sea. In 1978, the mid- water trawl fishing approach was introduced from Italy to the fishermen of the Black Sea. Currently, during winter, there are 100 mid water- trawlers in operation. When we compare the Black Sea, mid-water trawl nets to the Italian mid-water trawl nets there are some small technical differences but in general they are similar. When we compare the Black Sea trawls with the modern trawls, we discover that they are of a lower standard mechanically and electronicly. Despite there inferior equipment, the Black Sea mid-water trawls, still catch large amounts of Anchovies, and other species such as Whiting and Blue Fish. In this study, The length of the Anchovies and the Whiting caught was measured. It was discovered that the minumum length an Anchovie was 7cm and the maximum length was 15cm and average length was 11.09cm. Respectively, it was found that the minumum length of a Whiting was 8.5 and the maximum length of a Whiting 22 and average length was 13.3. Keywords : Midwater trawl, Black Sea, Anchovy
