Bornova ekolojik koşullarında paçuli (Pogostemon cablin) bitkisinin bazı morfolojik, agronomik ve kalite özelliklerinin karakterizasyonu üzerine araştırmalar

Özet
Paçuli (Pogostemon cablin) bitkisinin materyal olarak kullanıldığı araştırma 2022 yılı İzmir-Bornova ekolojik şartlarında yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada bitkinin Bornova koşullarındaki bazı morfolojik, agronomik ve kalite özelliklerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada üzerinde durulan özellikler ve sonuçları; bitki boyu en düşük 5 cm, en yüksek 58 cm; dal sayısı en düşük 2 adet, en yüksek 9 adet; yan dal sayısı en düşük 1 adet, en yüksek 21 adet; yeşil herba verimi en düşük 9 g/bitki, en yüksek 266 g/bitki; drog herba verimi en düşük 1,41 g/bitki, en yüksek 54 g/bitki; drog yaprak verimi en düşük 1,10 g/bitki, en yüksek 31 g/bitki; drog sap verimi en düşük 0,25 g/bitki, en yüksek 21 g/bitki; uçucu yağ oranı en düşük %0.17, en yüksek %1,30 ve uçucu yağ verimi en düşük 0,002 ml/bitki, en yüksek 0,341 ml/bitki olarak hesaplanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçları değerlendirildiğinde; P. cablin bitkisinin anavatanı tropik iklim kuşağı olmasına rağmen İzmir ilinde de yetiştiriciliğinin yapılabileceği, ancak paçuli bitkisinin verim ve kalite değerlerinin ikinci yıl verilerinin de dikkate alınması uygun olacaktır. Bitki ortalama sıcaklık verileri yüksek olan Akdeniz ikliminin hüküm sürdüğü Bornova ekolojik koşullarına adaptasyonu başarılı olarak sonuçlanmıştır. Türkiye özel konumu nedeniyle birçok bitkiyi barındıran ve çeşitli endemik bitkiye ev sahipliği yapan bir coğrafyaya sahiptir. Yapılan çalışma sonucuna göre, İzmir-Bornova ekolojik koşullarına adapte olan P. cablin bitkisinin iklim isteklerinin karşılandığı farklı bölgelerimizde de tarımının yapılabileceği öngörülmektedir.
The present research on Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) plant was conducted in ecological conditions of İzmir-Bornova in 2022. In this research it was aimed to observe the plant's morphological, agronomical and quality parameters in Bornova conditions. The parameters addressed before and their results are calculated as; minimum plant height to be 5 cm, maximum plant height to be 58 cm; minimum number of branches to be 2 per plant, maximum number of branches to be 9 per plant; minimum number of secondary branches to be 1 per plant, maximum number of secondary branches to be 21 per plant; minimum fresh herbage yield to be 9 g/plant, maximum fresh herbage yield to be 266 g/plant; minimum drug herbage yield to be 1,41 g/plant, maximum drug herbage yield to be 54 g/plant; minimum drug leaf yield to be 1,10 g/plant, maximum drug leaf yield to be 31 g/plant; minimum drug stem yield to be 0,25 g/plant, maximum drug stem yield to be 21 g/plant; minimum essential oil ratio to be %0.17, maximum essential oil ratio to be %1,30 and minimum essential oil yield to be 0,002 ml/plant, maximum essential oil yield to be 0,341 ml/plant. When the results are evaluated, despite the fact that Pogostemon cablin plant originates from tropical climate zones; it is shown that it could potentially be cultivated in İzmir as well. However, it would be appropriate to consider the second year data of the yield and quality values of the patchouli plant. The adaptation of the plant to the ecological conditions of Bornova, where the Mediterranean climate prevails with high average temperature data, has been successful. Due to its special geographical location, Türkiye harbours various plants including valuable endemic ones. According to the results obtained from this research, P. cablin plant can adapt to the ecological conditions of İzmir-Bornova and it is set forth to be cultivated in various lands in our country where climate demands of this plant are met.
