dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin sürekli kaygı düzeyi, karar verme davranışı ve belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük düzeyi arasındaki ilişkilerin ve bu değişkenlerin cinsiyete göre farklılık gösterip göstermediğinin incelenmesidir. Araştırma, 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında Ege Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesindeki çeşitli lisans programlarında öğrenim görmekte olan 105 üniversite öğrencisinin (kadın: 62, erkek: 43) gönüllü katılımıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında veri toplama aracı olarak Bilgi Formu, Sürekli Kaygı Ölçeği, Iowa Kumar Testi (IKT) ve Belirsizliğe Tahammülsüzlük Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi için ‘‘korelasyon analizi’’ ve ‘‘ilişkisiz örneklemler için t-testi’’ yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda; üniversite öğrencilerinin IKT performansı ile sürekli kaygı düzeyi ve belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük düzeyi arasındaki ilişkiler istatistiksel olarak anlamlı çıkmamıştır. Sürekli kaygı düzeyi ve belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük düzeyi arasında iki cinsiyet grubunda da aynı yönde anlamlı ilişkiler olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Erkek öğrencilerin IKT performansının kadın öğrencilerden daha yüksek olduğu, kadın öğrencilerin sürekli kaygı düzeyinin erkek öğrencilerden daha yüksek olduğu ve belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük düzeyinde cinsiyete göre anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları literatür doğrultusunda tartışılmış ve gelecek çalışmalar için bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this research is to investigate the relationships among trait anxiety, decision-making behavior and intolerance of uncertainty; and also whether these variables differentiate according to gender. The research was conducted with the participation of 105 volunteer university students (female: 62, male: 43) who were studying in various undergraduate programs at Ege University Faculty of Education during the 2018-2019 academic year. Data collection instruments in this study were Information Form, Trait Anxiety Inventory, Iowa Gambling Task (IGT) and Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale (long form). ‘‘Corelational analysis’’ and ‘‘independent sample t-test’’ were used to analyze the research data. As a result of the analysis; relationships between university students’ IGT performance and trait anxiety level was not statistically significant. Also, the relationship between IGT performance and intolerance of uncertainty level was not statistically significant. It was concluded that there were significant positive correlations between trait anxiety level and intolerance of uncertainty level of both female and male students. Besides, the findings revealed that, IGT performance of male students is higher than female students, female students' anxiety level is higher than male students and there was no significant difference between intolerance of uncertainty level of male and female students. The research findings were discussed in the light of the literature and some recommendations were made for future studies.en_US
