COVİD-19 sürecinde hemşirelerin manevi bakım algılarının ve yeterliliklerinin incelenmesi

Özet
Amaç: Bu tez çalışması, COVİD-19 sürecinde hemşirelerin manevi bakım algılarının ve yeterliliklerinin incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Gereç-Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve ilişkisel tipteki araştırma; Eylül 2021-Mart 2022 tarihleri arasında İzmir Bakırçay Üniversitesi Çiğli Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi'nde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın evrenini; Eylül 2021-Mart 2022 tarihleri arasında İzmir Bakırçay Üniversitesi Çiğli Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi'nde COVİD ünitelerinde çalışan 418 hemşire oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın örneklemini; belirtilen evren içerisinden basit rastgele örnekleme tekniği ile seçilen, araştırmaya dahil edilme ölçütlerine uygun olan, COVİD servislerinde ve yoğun bakımlarında çalışan 305 hemşire oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak; hemşirelerin sosyodemografik özelliklerine ilişkin form ("Hemşire Tanıtım Formu"), "Manevi Destek Algısı Ölçeği" ve "Manevi Bakım Yeterlilik Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Verilerin istatistiksel analizinde IBM SPSS (Statistical PackageFor Social Sciences for Windows, Release ver. 20.0) paket programından yararlanılmıştır. İstatistiksel anlamlılık düzeyi p<0,05 olarak alınmıştır. Bulgular: Hemşirelerin yaş ortalaması 35,70±8,01 (minimum 23, maksimum 57) olup, %12,8'i erkek ve %87,2'si kadın, %74,4'ü lisans mezunudur. Araştırmada yer alan hemşirelerin Manevi Destek Algısı Ölçeği (MDAÖ)'den aldıkları puanlar 15 ile 60 arasında değişmekle birlikte ortalama puan 49,48 ± 7,68 olarak bulunmuştur. Hemşirelerin eğitim düzeyi, çalıştığı birim, çalışma statüsü, haftalık çalışma saati, mesleği seçme durumu gibi çok sayıda faktör manevi bakım algısını etkileyen faktörler olarak belirlenmiştir. Hemşirelerin Manevi Bakım Yeterlilik Ölçeği (MBYÖ)'nin toplamından aldıkları puanlar 27 ile 135 arasında değişmekle birlikte ortalama puan 75,59 ± 17,56 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Hemşirelerin işe karşı memnuniyet düzeyi, maneviyat ve manevi bakım ile ilgili bilgi sahibi olma durumu, manevi bakım vermeye verdikleri önem gibi değişkenlerin manevi bakım yeterliliklerini etkilediği saptanmıştır. Manevi Destek Algısı Ölçeği puan ortalamaları ile Manevi Bakım Yeterlilik Ölçeği toplam puan ortalamaları arasında ise pozitif yönlü orta düzeyde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur (r=0,484, p<0,05). Sonuç: Hemşirelerin MDAÖ'den aldıkları ortalama puanlar doğrultusunda manevi destek algı düzeylerinin yüksek, bazı faktörlerin manevi bakım algısı üzerinde etkili olduğu saptanmıştır. Hemşirelerin MBYÖ'nin toplamından aldıkları ortalama puanlar manevi bakım yeterlilik düzeylerinin orta düzey olduğunu göstermiştir. Birtakım değişkenlerin manevi bakım yeterliliğini etkilediği bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmanın sonucunda hemşirelerin manevi bakım algısı arttıkça manevi bakım yeterliliğinin arttığı görülmüştür. Aim: This thesis study is a descriptive and relational type of research in which the spiritual care perceptions and competencies of nurses in the COVİD-19 process will be examined. Material-Method: The research was carried out at İzmir Bakırçay University Çiğli Training and Research Hospital between September 2021 and March 2022. The population of the study consisted of 418 nurses working in the COVİD units at İzmir Bakırçay University Çiğli Training and Research Hospital between September 2021 and March 2022. The sample of the research will consist of approximately 305 nurses who are selected from the specified population by simple random sampling technique, who meet the inclusion criteria and who work in COVİD services and intensive care units. As a data collection tool; the form regarding the sociodemographic characteristics of the nurses ( Nurse İntroduction Form), the Perception of Spiritual Support Scale and Spiritual Care Competence Scale were used. IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science for Windows, Release, ver 20.0) package program was used in the statistical analysis of the data. Statistical significance level was taken as p<0.05. Results: The average age of the nurses is 35.70 ± 8.01 (minimum 23, maximum 57) and 12.8% male and 87.2% female, 74.4% undergraduate. The scores of the nurses included in the study on the Spiritual Support Perception Scale (MDAO) ranged between 15 and 60, the avarage score was found to be 49.48 ± 7,68. Many factors such as the education level of nurses, the unit they work in, their working status, weekly working hours and choosing a profession have been identified as factors affecting the perception of spiritual care. While the total scores of the nurses on the Spiritual Care Competence Scale ranged from 27 to 135, the average score was found to be 75,59 ± 17,56. It has been determined that variables such as the level of job satisfaction of nurses, their knowledge about spirituality and spiritual care and the importance they attach to providing spiritual care affect their spiritual care competence. A statistically significant positive correlation was found between the mean scores of the Nurses' Spiritual Support Perception Scale and the Spiritual Care Competency Scale total score averages (r=0,484, p<0,05). Conclusion: In line with the average scores of the nurses in MDAO, it was determined that the perception of moral support was high and some factors were effective on the perception of spiritual care. The average scores of the nurses from the total of MBYO showed that their spiritual care proficiency level was moderate. A number of variables have been found to affect spiritual care efficacy. As a result of this study, it was observed that as the nurses' perception of spiritual care increased, their spiritual care competence increased.
