dc.description.abstractGiriş: Son yıllarda allerjik rinit semptomları tarifleyen deri (prik ve intradermal testler) ve spesifik IgE analizi negatif bulunan olgularda nazal mukozada lokal olarak allerjen spesifik IgE’nin sentezlendiği nazal provokasyon testi yardımıyla gösterilmiştir. Biz bu çalışmada, yıl boyu allerjik rinit semptomları tarifleyen allerji testleri negatif saptanan olgularda nazal provokasyon testiyle ev tozu akarı allerjisini araştırdık. Gereç ve Yöntem: Yıl boyu allerjik rinit tarifleyen ev tozu akarı (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus ve Dermatophagoides farinae) ile deri prik testi, intradermal test ve serum spesifik IgE analizi negatif bulunan 65 hasta ve sadece ev tozu akarı allerjisi olan 35 hastaya D. pteronyssinus ile nazal provokasyon testi yapıldı. Bulgular: Allerji testleri negatif olan 65 olgunun 8 (%12.3)’inde D. pteronyssinus ile nazal provokasyon testi pozitif saptandı. Ev tozu akarı allerjisi olan hastaların tamamında nazal provokasyon testi pozitifti. Sonuç: Allerjik rinit semptomları tarifleyen, D. pte-ronyssinus ile deri prik testi, intradermal deri testi ve spesifik IgE analizi negatif olan hastaların bir kısmında D. pteronyssinus ile nazal provokasyon testinin pozitif saptanması bazı olgularda sistemik allerjik inflamasyon olmaksızın lokal allerjik reaksiyonun gelişebileceğini desteklemiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractObjective: The local allergen-specific IgE synthesis has been demonstrated via nasal provocation test in patients presented with allergic rhinitis symptoms in the absence of positive skin and specific IgE tests recently. In this study we searched the house dust mite allergy in patients who presented perennial allergic rhinitis symptoms with negative test results by means of nasal provocation test. Materials and Methods: Sixty-five patients presented perennial allergic rhinitis symptoms with negative skin prick test, intradermal test and serum-specific IgE analyses to house dust mites (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus ve Dermatophagoides fa-rinae) as well as 35 patients allergic to only house dust mites were performed nasal provocation test with D. pteronyssinus. Results: The nasal provocation test with D. pte-ronyssinus was found to be positive in 8 (12.3%) of the 65 patients with negative allergy tests. All the patients allergic to house dust mites were found to show positive nasal provocation test. Conclusion: The demonstration of the positive nasal provocation test to D. pteronyssinus in a group of patients presenting allergic rhinitis symptoms with negative skin tests and serum specific IgE to D.pteronyssinus supports the development of local allergic reaction in the absence of systemic allergic inflammation.en_US
