dc.description.abstractBilgisayar Destekli Geometrik Tasarım (BDGT) ve Bilgisayar Destekli Üretimde (BDÜ) geometri çok büyük bir öneme sahip olduğundan bu tezde, yaygın bir şekilde kullanılan eğri ve yüzeylerle ilgili bazı uygulamalar verilmiştir. Tezde, kuaterniyonlar, eğri ve yüzeyler, Bezier eğri ve yüzeyleri, B-spline eğrileri, regle ve açılabilir regle yüzeyler ilgili temel kavramlar üzerinde durulmuştur. Ayrıca, özel eğrilerden olan Smarandache eğrileri hakkında çeşitli bilgiler verilmiş ve bu eğrilerden bazılarının küresel görüntüleri üzerinde çalışılmıştır. Benzer şekilde, CNC tezgahlarında büyük öneme sahip bulunan ofset eğri ve yüzeylerinin varyasyonları incelenmiştir. Ardından, dayanak eğrileri Bezier ve herhangi bir eğri olan iki açılabilir regle yüzeylerin varyasyonları verilmiş ve küresel görüntüleri Spherical Linear Interpolation (SLERP) kullanılarak ifade edilmiştir. Son olarak, iki uzay eğrisini interpole eden yarı-açılabilir Bezier yüzeyi A-Star algortiması kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Bu tezin amacı, bazı eğri ve yüzeyleri inceleyerek geometrinin, teknolojik tasarım ve üretim sanayinde niçin çok büyük bir öneme sahip olduğunu, ayrıca geometrinin birçok mühendislik ve bilim dallarının niçin ayrılamaz bir parçası olduğunu ortaya koymaktır.en_US
dc.description.abstractDue to the importance of geometry in Computer Aided Geometric Design (CAGD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), in this thesis, some applications related to curves and surfaces that are used widely are given. In the thesis, we focused on quaternions, curves and surfaces, Bezier curves and surfaces, B-spline curves, ruled and developable ruled surfaces. Also, various informations about Smarandache curves, which are one of the special curves, are given and the spherical images of some of these curves are studied. Similarly, exchange variations of offset curves, which have big importance at the CNC workbenches, and surfaces are examined. Additionally, the exchange variations of any two developable ruled surfaces that have directrix curves as Bezier curves or any curve are given and the spherical images of these surfaces are expressed by using Spherical Linear Interpolation (SLERP). Finally, quasi-developable Bezier surface interpolation of two space curves is obtained via using A-Star algorithm. The purpose of this thesis is to put forth why geometry has very big importance in the technological design and manufacturing industry, and also why geometry is an inseparable part of many engineering and disciplines by examining some curves and surfaces.en_US
