Hydrofluoric acid is one of the strongest of all inorganic acids. It may cause insidious burns that can be very destructive. If the burns are not treated appropriately, the continued action of the free fluoride ion leads to liquefaction necrosis of the af¬fected soft tissue, bony erosion and potentially lethal hypocalcemia. in this paper a hydrofluoric acid burn of face and right pectoral area that is successfully treated with both topical and injectable agents is presented.en_US
