dc.description.abstractTürk halkının zengin kültürel mirası olan Geleneksel Türk Evi, paha biçilemez değerlere sahiptir. Türk geleneklerinden ve İslam'ın getirdiği ilkelerden önemli ölçüde etkilenmiş planlanması ve düzenlenmesinde önemli roller oynamıştır. Geleneksel Türk evlerinin en karakteristik mobilyası olan sedir, oturmak, yatmak, dinlenmek, yemek yemek gibi eylemleri yerine getirebildiği esnek kullanıma sahip genellikle kolçaksızdır ve pencere kenarlarında yer almaktadır. Sedirlerin üzerinde yöreden yöreye değişkenlik gösteren minderler, halı yastıklar, sedir halısı ve el işi örtüler bulunmaktadır. Sürdürülebilirlik kavramı konusunda, tasarımcılar, iç mimarlar, mimarlar ve genel olarak toplum, sürdürülebilir malzemeler ve geri dönüşüm konusunda önemli sorumluluk taşımaktadır. Hem tasarımcılar hem de kullanıcılar için sürdürebilir malzeme kullanarak, ürünlerin yaratılmasıyla ilgili süreçleri anlamak ve bu konuda farkındalık yaratmak çok önemli hale gelmiştir. Tez kapsamında ele aldığımız sürdürülebilir malzeme ile sedir mobilyasının yeniden tasarlanması için biyoplastik malzeme olarak deniz yosunu kullanılması planlanmıştır. Çevre için tasarım,geri dönüşüm için tasarım, esneklik ve kültürel sürdürülebilirlik kavramları ele alınarak yeni bir sedir oluşturulmuştur.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe Traditional Turkish House, the rich cultural heritage of the Turkish people, has priceless values. It has been significantly influenced by Turkish traditions and the principles of Islam, which have played important roles in its planning and organization. The most characteristic furniture of traditional Turkish houses is the ottoman, which is usually without armrests and is located on the windowsills with flexible use where it can fulfill actions such as sitting, lying, resting, eating. There are cushions, carpet pillows, cedar carpets and handcrafted covers on the ottomans, which vary from region to region. With regard to the concept of sustainability, designers, interior designers, architects, architects and society in general have an important responsibility for sustainable materials and recycling. It has become very important for both designers and users to understand and raise awareness about the processes involved in creating products using sustainable materials. Within the scope of the thesis, it is planned to use seaweed as a bioplastic material to redesign the cedar furniture with sustainable materials. A new cedar was created by considering the concepts of design for environment, design for recycablity, flexibility and cultural sustainabilityen_US
