| dc.description.abstract | Kıbrıs sorunu uluslararası ilişkiler disiplini açısından pek çok etnik çatışmanın ve ayrışmanın içerisinde bir laboratuar olarak görüldüğünden farklı birçok alt disipline (antropoloji, psikoloji ve güvenlik vs.) de örnek teşkil etmektedir. Kıbrıs sorununun yeni bir kritik dönemeçten geçtiği 2009 yılı sonu itibarı ile içinde bulunduğu son durum etnik realite kapsamında analiz edilmektedir. Çözüme yönelik geçmişte zorluklar ve yakın gelecekteki olasılıklar ortaya konmakta, etnik çatışmanın tanımı yapılmakta, evrensel olarak etnik çatışma nedenleri açıklanarak iki toplum arasındaki çatışmaların sebepleri sergilenmekte ve etnik çatışmaların uluslararası güvenlik boyutu ele alınarak çözümlenememiş etnik sorunların nasıl olup da daha geniş bir coğrafyayı etkilediği konusunda değerlendirmeler yapılmaktadır. Etnik çatışmaların çözüme kavuşturulması hakkında muhtemel senaryolara ayrıca yer verilmekte ve Avrupa Birliği'nin (AB) Kıbrıs sorunsalının çözümü üzerindeki etkileri ele alınmaktadır. Tüm bunlara ek olarak, Kıbrıs sorununda gözle görülür gelecekte neler olabileceğine yönelik 2009-2010 yıllarını kapsayan kısa vadeli bir analiz de bu çalışmanın kapsamındadır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The Cyprus problem in terms of international relations discipline has been seen as a laboratory case of many ethnic conflicts and separation so that in the many different sub-disciplines (anthropology, psychology and security, etc..) it represents as an example. The Cyprus problem which is passing through a new critical crossroads since the end of 2009 will be analyzed in the context of actual ethnic reality. In the attempt to develop solutions, past challenges and the near future possibilities will be put forward, a definition of ethnic conflict is made, worldwide reasons behind ethnic conflicts will be explored through a display of the reasons of the conflict between the two communities, and its international security dimension will be analyzed to develop some suggestions towards a solution of unresolved ethnic problems which have implications over wider geographies. The possible scenarios about resolving ethnic conflicts are also included and the effects of European Union (EU) on the solution to the Cyprus problematic are discussed. In addition to all of this, of what would happen in the visible future to the Cyprus problem as a short-term analysis - covering the years 2009-2010 - is also in the scope of this study. | en_US |
