dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı, eskiçağda Aiolis bölgesinde yaşamış olan toplulukların dinsel yaşamına ilişkin bilgilerin bir araya getirilerek, bu bilgiler temelinde dinin gerek bireysel gerekse toplumsal düzeyde nasıl rol oynadığına ilişkin betimlere ulaşılmasıdır. Çalışmanın mekânsal kapsamını, antik kaynaklarda Aiol göçüyle ilişkilendirilen Aiolis bölgesi oluşturmaktadır. Bölge temelindeki bu sınırlama, aynı zamanda bölge içerisindeki dinsel inançların belirli bir doku gösterip göstermediği sorusunun cevabını aramaya da hizmet eder. Ancak yöneltilen soru, bölgedeki dinsel hayatın coğrafi sınırla karakter kazandığı gibi bir önkabule işaret etmemelidir. Bölgedeki en erken arkeolojik bulgular MÖ 8. yüzyıla tarihlendiğinden, bu tarih ile antik çağın sonu arasında kalan dönem zamansal sınırlarımızı belirler.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to gather up data about religious life of the communities resident in Aeolis in Antiquity and to reach descriptions of the religion's role on the individual and social level. The spatial scope covers the region called Aeolis which is associated with the Aiol migration by the narrations in ancient sources. An inquiry on the regional base may also serve to seek an answer to the question whether religious beliefs within the region demonstrate a texture, even though the question should not point to a precondition that religious life in the region has a geographical character. Since the earliest archaeological evidence in the region dates to the 8th century BC, the chronological scope of the study covers the time span between 8th century BC to the end of antiquity.en_US
