Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, diş tedavisinde kullanılan aletlerin dezenfeksiyonunda mekanik temizlemenin yeri ve çeşitli dezenfektanların etkinliğini araştırmaktı. Bunun için yüzeyel uygulamada üç, yatırma yönteminde iki olmak üzere toplam beş dezenfektan kullanıldı. Aletler, mekanik temizlemenin yapılıp yapılmamasına göre A ve B olmak üzere iki gruba ayrıldı. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda, diğer gruplarda üreme görülürken, mekanik temizleme ve dezenfektanda bekletme sonrasında herhangi bir üreme görülmedi. Bunun üzerine, diş hastalıklarının tedavisinde kullanılan aletlerin yapılabiliyorsa sterilizasyonu, yapılamıyorsa mutlaka mekanik temizleme ile dezenfektanda bekletme işlemlerinin beraber yapılması gerektiği sonucuna varıldı.
In this study, the efficiency of mechanical cleaning and several disinfectants in the disinfection of dental handpieces was investigated. For the study five types of disinfectants; two sinking and three spraying were used. the dental handpieces were divided into two groups, one being mechanically cleaned and the second one remaining uncleaned. It was seen that no microbial growth occurred in the group which was first mechanically cleaned and then left in the disinfectants, while microbial growth was obtained in other groups. It was concluded that dental handpieces should be disinfected after mechanical cleaning when sterilization is not possible at all.
