Özet
ÖZET pH VE KİREÇ KAPSAMLARI FARKLI TOPRAKLARA UYGULANAN KALSİYUM NİTRAT DOZLARININ BAZI KÜLTÜR BİTKİLERİNDE VERİM VE KALİTEYE ETKİLERİ TUNA, A. Levent Doktora Tezi, Toprak Anabilim Dalı Tez Yöneticisi : Prof. Dr. Rafet KILINC Temmuz 1999,111 sayfa Bu tezde, ekonomik önem taşıyan bazı önemli kültür bitkilerinde hasat öncesi ve sonrasında uygulanan Kalsiyum Nitrat dozlarının, verim, kalite ve depolama döneminde ortaya çıkabilen bazı hastalık ve fizyolojik bozuklukları nasıl etkilediği incelenmiştir.
vn ABSTRACT EFFECTS OF SOIL AND FOLIAR APPLIED CALCIUM NITRATE DOSES ON YffiLD AND QUALITY PROPERTIES OF SOME CROP GROWN ON SOIL HAVING DD7FERENT pH AND CaC03 LEVELS TUNA, A. Levent PhD.,Soil Science Department Supervisor : Prof. Dr.Rafet K1LINC July 1999, 111 pages In this research work, effects of soil and foliar applied Calcium Nitrate doses on yield and quality properties and some physiological disorders which may occur during the storage period were investigated. For this purpose, on the soils previously enriched with N, P, K and having different pH and CaC03 levels ; lettuce, potato and apple plants were grown. In field experiments 0, 15, 30, 45, 60 kg/da and 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 kg/da Calcium Nitrate doses were applied as top dressing for lettuce and potato respectively. On the other hand, in different locations 1%, 2%, 3% Calcium Nitrate solutions were pulverized four times 25-30 days intervals to potato and apple leaves after fruit setting stage. The yield was weighted during the harvest time. In plant samples which were collected using appropriate methods; vitamin C, dry matter, brix, chlorophyl, reducing sugar, starch, chip color, firmness, malic acid and thevm contents of nutrient elements of the plant samples were analysed as quality criteria. The apple fruits are stored at +3 °C for 3 months and the relationships between the applied Calcium Nitrate doses and Bitter Pit and Penicillum expansum incidences have been determined. Significant relations between yield and quality properties with the applied Calcium Nitrate doses have been found. The yield has increased in all the tested plants related to the treatment of Calcium Nitrate and significant developments have been observed in the examinal quality criteria. The results obtained from the experiments are as follows. 45 kg/da Calcium Nitrate has increased yield, dry matter and vitamin C contents of lettuce plant. 30 kg/da and 2% soil and foliar applied Calcium Nitrate doses have increased yield, dry matter, tuber size but reducing sugar ratio decreased. In apple plants, dry matter, total soluble solids, vitamin C, malic acid and firmness of fruits have increased but reducing sugar ratio decreased with the application of 1% Calcium Nitrate solution. Besides, Bitter Pit incidence which was 50.5% in the control group has decreased at the rate of 58% and it was gone down to 21.5%. Also, P.expansum incidence which was 60%, has decreased to 9.5%. In apple fruits which has been received 1% Calcium Nitrate by dip method, Bitter Pit and P.expansum incidences were decreased significantly. In control group, Bitter Pit incidence gone down from 50.5% to 1 1.6% and P.expansum also decreased from 22.7% to zero level. Key Words : Calcium Nitrate, apple, potato, lettuce, quality, yield.
