Bedensel Bir Kültür Olarak Dansta, Latin Amerikan Danslarına İlişkin Görüş ve Yaklaşımlar

Özet
Tarih ve kültürler boyunca ortaya çıkan değişik dans türleri, farklı ülkelere de yayılarak benimsenmiş ve kabul görmüştür. Sevilen bazı dans türleri kurumsallaşarak, federasyon, dernek yada birlikler şeklinde resmi statü kazanmıştır. Bu yapılanma içerisinde değişik eğitim faaliyetleri ve ulusal/uluslararası yarışmalar yapılarak gelişimi desteklenmi/desteklenmektedir. %50 dans, %50 spor olarak kabul edilebilen Latin Amerikan danslarının, olimpiyatlara alınması ile de ilgili çalışmalar devam etmektedir. Ülkemizde son yıllarda salon ve Latin Amerikan dansları, gerek özel gerekse resmi eğitim kurumlarında gelişimini sürdürürken 2000 yılında ilk kez resmi bir kurumsal yapı kazanarak Türkiye Cimnastik Federasyonu bünyesinde Gazi Umdu'nun çabaları ile faaliyetlerine başlamıştır. Aynı yıl Temmuz ayında İngiltere'den gelen dans ve hakem eğitmeni Yvonne Saunders, ilgili dans eğitmenlerine, cha cha cha, samba, rumba ve jive danslarındaki teknik kurallar, hakemlik değerlendirme kriterleri ve yarışma organizasyonları ile ilgili bilgiler vererek bu yapılanmayı desteklemiş ve standardizasyonu sağlamıştır. Bu çalışmada bu kursa katılan elit düzeyde dans hocalarının ve dansçıların (yaş ortalaması 28,9$\pm$6,1) dans eğitimine ilişkin görüş ve düşünceleri bir anketle sorgulanmış (ulaşılabilen N=20), dansa ilişkin sorunlar ve yaklaşımlar değerlendirilmiştir. Tanımlayıcı istatistikler için SPSS 10.0 for windows istatistik paket programı kullanılmıştır. Dans değişik kültürlerin özelliklerinden oluşan bir mozaiktir. Bir ülkede dans faaliyetlerinin gelişimi, sosyal dinamiklerimize bağlı olarak, bireyin ve toplumun dansa bakış açısı ile yakın ilişkilidir. Beden kültürü olarak dans da eğitim yönetim ve organizasyon kapsamında alınacak kararlar dansın gelişimi ve değişimini olumlu etkileyebilmektedir. Dans eğitimini küçük yaşlarda alamayan ve buna ihtiyaç duymayan kişi/kişilerin bu tür faaliyetleri ileride desteklemesi sevk ve idaresi zor olabilecek veya daha yavaş ilerleyen bir süreci getirecektir.
Different kinds of dances that evolved throughout the history and human cultures spreaded to different countries and were adopted in those countries. Some popular kids of dance got institutionalized and gained the formal status in the form of federations, societies and units. Within this structure, its development has been supported by different educational activities and by national and international competitions throughout the world. There have been continuous efforts for Latin American dances, which are regarded as 50 % dance and 50% sportive activity, to be accepted into olympics. While continuing its development in private and state educational institutions in recent years, Latin dances gained official identity for the first time in 2000 and activities were started by Gazi Umdu's efforts within the Turkish Federation of Gymnastics. Yvonne Saunders, a dance trainer and also a judge, came from England in June, 2000, supported this structuring and brought standardization into this field by giving information to the dance trainers concerned about technical rules on such dances as cha cha , samba, rumba, and jive, rules of judge evaluation criteria, and organizing competitions. In this study, a questionnaire was given to elite dance teachers and dancer (mean age 28,96,1) to learn their thoughts and views about the dance training, and problems about dances and approaches (obtained N=20) were evaluated. Windows package statistics program SPSS 10.0 was used for defining statistics. Dance is a mosaic consisting of traits of different cultures. The development of dancing activities in a country is closely related to the points of view of the individuals and of the society depending on our social dynamics. Decisions to be taken for dance, as a body culture, within the framework of training, organization and management can effect the development and change of dance in a positive way. This kind of activities of the people who were not able to get dance training or who did not feel the need for it at early ages would bring about a process which is difficult or slow moving to support, control and manage for them.
