Özet
Araştırmanın amacı araştırma görevlilerinin bilim insanı yetiştirme sürecine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemek ve bunlara dayalı öneriler geliştirmektir. Nitel veri toplama tekniği kullanılarak yürütülen bu araştırmada, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu ölçüt örnekleme ile belirlenen 2011-2012 öğretim yılında İzmir ili Eğitim Fakültelerinde görev yapmakta olan 10 araştırma görevlisi oluşturmuştur. Araştırma sonuçları bilim insanı yetiştirme sürecinin ders yükü, ekonomik yetersizlikler, yükselme kriterleri gibi nedenlerden amacına ulaşamadığını ortaya koymuştur. Ayrıca, bilim insanı yetiştirme sürecinin rutin bir süreç olarak algılandığı ve desteklenmediği, lisansüstü eğitim programlarının, bilim insanı yetiştirme için yeterince uygun olmadığı ve ideal bilim insanı niteliklerinin kazandırılamadığı ortaya konmuştur.
The aim of this research was to determine the views of research assistants about the process of training the scientists and offer some suggestions. Semi structured in- terview form was used in this qualitative research. The study group of this research was composed of 10 research assistants that work in İzmir Educational Faculties du- ring 2011-2012 who were chosen via criterion sample. The results revealed out that not significant importance is given on training the scientist according to some reasons such as the lesson load,lack of financial support, promotion criterions. Also, it was in- dicated that the process of training the scientists isaccepted as organizational ordinary process and is not supported enough. In addition to these results, it is determined that science is used as a tool for academic promotion.
