SUMMARY In order to examine the effect of healthy performed and protected implant environment-tissue relationship on the efficiency of the implant with the fixed prosthesis, 12 Bioceram-S oral implants were inserted to the sefected 10 patients. At 6 cases, in order to avoid migration of the epithelial tissues, oral implants were inserted by making incisions at the cervical area with the electrosurgery device. On the other hand, at the control group consisting of six specimens, total incision was performed by a bistoury. All cases were taken under control from the 1st month following the operation in periods of 15 days. During these controls, plaque index, gingival index, radiographic index, mobility index and the depth of the pocket index were measured and recorded on to the prepared patient control files. Starting from the 6th month when the controls are completed, fixed dentures were applied to the patients using 10 oral implants which were found successful. During the 3rd month, two unsuccessful implants were taken out. The findings which were fount during the investigation were evaluated clinically and statistically. Consequently, it was determined that the method of electrosurgery which was used for the incision of the cervical area clinically effects the prognosis of oral implant in a positive way.
