Özet

The authors evaluated five patients with humoral immunodeficiency (two X-linked hypogammaglobulinemia, two common variable immunodeficiency and one hyper-igM syndrome) who were being treated by intravenous immunoglobuiin (IVIG). the children suffered from severe and recurrent bacterial infections, mainly of the respiratory tract, and malabsorption. One of them presented symptoms of arthralgia resembling juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. After the use of IVIG regimen in a dose of 400 mg/kg/4 weeks, the severity and frequency of infections decreased significantly. Serum total IgG, IgM, IgA and IgG subgroup levels were controlled before and after treatment. Minor adverse reactions (chills, fever) were observed only in one child.
