Özet
Türk dilinin gramerini konu edinen kitaplarda ve edat üzerine yazılan pek çok müstakil eserde edatın tanımı, çeşitleri, kapsamı ve sınırları konusunda farklı düşünceler ileri sürülmüştür. Başlangıçta anlamlı olup kalıplaştıktan sonra işlevleriyle öne çıkan ve çok geniş bir kullanım sahasına sahip olan edatların oluşma süreci, yazılı ilk Türkçe belgelerden bugüne kadar açıkça izlenebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada bir süredir dikkatimizi çeken ve esasen iyelikli bir isim kökünün yönelme hâlindeki şekli olan ve genellikle zarf olarak kullanılan "adına" sözünün edat olma yolunda nasıl ilerlediği, taranan metinlerden örneklerle incelenecektir.
The postposition issue has been considered by its different aspects until today like its definition, variety, content and limits on Turkish grammar books and independent works. Formerly meaningful but standing out henceforth with their functions, postpositions have a wide area of use which complicates to determine their limits. Even so, the formation process of a postposition can be clearly followed since the very first Turkish inscriptions. The aim of this paper is to draw attention on how the word "adına" (on behalf of) used generally as an adverb, is evolving into a postposition in modern Turkish.
