dc.description.abstractV ÖZET GEZEGEN BİLEŞENLİ GÜNEŞ TÜRÜ YILDIZLAR KALOMENİ, Belinda Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Astronomi ve Uzay Bilimler Bölümü Tez Yöneticisi: Prof. Dr. Serdar EVREN 1999, 58 sayfa Bu tezde, gezegen bileşenli güneş benzeri yıldızlar çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, bu tür sistemlerin nasıl ve ne sıklıkla oluştuğu hakkında bilgi elde etmektir. Bu gezegen sistemlerinin yapısının anlaşılması yoluyla bizim güneş sistemimizin oluşumuna ve yapısına ilişkin ipuçlarını yakalamak amaçlanmıştır. Bunların yaraşıra, gezegen sistemlerinin ortaya çıkartılması için kullanılan yöntemler ve aletler tanımlanmıştır. Bu sistemlerdeki, Yer benzeri gezegenlerin ortaya çıkartılmasında karşılaşılan zorluklar belirtilmiştir. Ayrıca güneş türü bir yıldızın etrafında Yer benzeri bir gezegenin bulunmak istenmesinin nedeni Yer benzeri bir yaşama ortak olmak; böylece Evrende yalnız mıyız? sorusuna yanıt bulmak amaçlanmıştır. dc.description.abstractVII ABSTRACT SUN-LIKE STARS WITH PLANET COMPANION KALOMENI, Belinda MSc in Astronomy and Space Sciences Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Serdar EVREN 1999, 58 pages In this thesis, sun-like stars which have planets have been studied. The aim of this study is to obtain. clues on how and at which frequency such systems occur. Our aim is to further understand the nature of these planets and make some inferences on how our own system could be formed. In the thesis, the instruments and techniques used to explore such systems are also described. The difficulites encountered in exploration of terrestrial planets are also emphasized. Furthermore, the aim and the will in exploring the sun-like stars having planets are summarized. The question of "Are we alone in the Universe? "is tried to be replied.
