This study has been designed as an experimental study with a purpose of mapping out the impacts of relational-developmental approach model, which is commonly utilized in increasing the parental sufficiency of adolescent mothers, on maternal attachment, postpartum depression and infant development. The data were collected with qualitative and quantitative data collection methods among which are interviews and observations as qualitative methods and questionnaire forms as quantitative methods. The test group (n=15) and the control group (n=15) mothers (14-19 years of age) were administered the ?Mother-Child Demographic Form?, ?Maternal Attachment Inventory?, ?Beck Depression Inventory? and ?Ankara Development Scan Inventory? forms. Mothers in the test group were also asked about antepartum period, infant care, parenting and the meetings they participated in the outpatient clinics and their opinions were noted and analyzed. The data was evaluated by using SPSS 15.0 program and score-percentage test, chi-square, Studen?s t test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Mann Whitney U test, Wilcoxon Signed Ranks tests. A noticeable rise was observed in the sixth month Maternal Attachment average scores (M=98.00) in test group when compared to the first month average scores (M= 95.00). The sixth month Beck Depression Inventory average scores of mothers in the test group (M=7.00) illustrated a decline in comparison with the first month averages (M=12.00). However, there was no statistically meaningful difference between both control and the test groups (p>0.05). There was a statistically meaningful difference between the average scores of the sum of the first and the sixth month and the average scores of Ankara Development Scan Inventory in both the test group and the control group infants, which consequently appears to be in favor of the test group (p<0.05). As a result, the relational developmental approach model, which is utilized for increasing the parental sufficiency, was found to help babies develop at an age appropriate level. Furthermore, it was found to help mothers to develop self-esteem, gain experience in infant care, express themselves better and improve mother-infant interactions and understand their babies better.
