dc.description.abstractSUMMARY An experiment was Conducted at Dursanli Siluated in Nazili distrit of Aydin province, by using three different, early, medium early and medium late genotypes (Sunbred 262* Sunbred 277 and Sunbred 281) of Sunflower. In this Study, the effects of six different planting times (20.6, 30.6, 10.7, 20.7, 30.7 and 10.8) on the development, growth, yield and yield components of three different genotypes were studied. 1. Maximum and Minimum plant height values were recorded as 133.9 cm and 100.5 cm in case of ist (20 th June) and 4 th (20 th July) times of sowing, respectively. 2. Day length, tempereture and precipetation affected the development and growth of genotypes significantly. According to mean values, the earliest maturity time was recorded as 90.6 days in 6 th time of sowing (10 th August) While the latest maturity was noticed as 96,6 days for ist sowing time (20 th June). 3. Maximum head diameter (26,1 cm) was recorded in case of 1 st (20-6) and 2 nd (30-6) times of sowing. On the other hand minimum head diameter (20.6 cm) was found in 4 th time of sowing (20 th July). 4. Highest Yield per head (117.6 gms) was obtained in first time of sowing (20 th June) and the lowest (73.3 gms/head) was recorded in 4 th time of sowing (20 th July). 5. Simitar to per head yield, seed yield per dacare was high for ist, 4th and 6th time of sowing. Consequently highest yield per decare (556.2 kg/da) was recarded in 6 th time of sowing (10 th August). Here it is notice able that yield recorded in 4th planting 35time (20th July) is quite close th that obtained in ist and 2nd time of sowing. Average Lowest yield of the varities (356.0 kg/da) was noticed in case of 4th planting time (20 th July). Amongst the varieties mediun early medium late Sunbred 281 produced the highest yield (562.7 kg/da)( at 6 th time 7 sowing (10 th August) This was followed by medium early Sunbred 277 and early Sunbred 262 varieties. These varieties showed 565.5 kg/da yield with ist time of sowing (20th June) and 580 kg/da with 6 th time of sowing (10 th August), respectively. Yield of the varieties decrease with late sowing. 36en_US
