dc.description.abstractKendine uygun meslekte olan bireyler toplumda işlerini isteyerek yapar, mesleğinde ilerler, mutlu ve verimli olarak yaşamlarını sürdürürler. Bu tanımlayıcı çalışma üniversite öğrencilerinin meslek seçimini etkileyen faktörleri incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Ege Üniversitesine yeni kayıt yaptıran ve rastgele tabakalama örnekleme tekniği ile seçilen 1000 öğrenci araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında anket formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ki-kare testi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin %41.6’sının meslekle ilgili olumlu görüşleri nedeniyle, %34.4’ü çeşitli nedenlerle çaresizlik yaşadığı ve açıkta kalmamak için, %39.6’sı meslekle ilgili avantajları olduğunu düşündüğü için, %33.5’i ise başkalarının önerileri ile bu mesleği seçtiği bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin büyük çoğunluğu meslekle ilgili olumlu görüşleri olduğu için okuduğu bölümü seçmişlerdir. Aldığı puanın, puan türünün, tercih sırasının, anne eğitim düzeyinin ve mesleğinin, öğrencilerin meslek seçimini etkilediği bulunmuştur. Umutsuzluk ve başkalarının önerileriyle mesleğini seçme oranının, mesleğini en son sıralarda tercih edip kazanan öğrencilerde, diğerlerine oranla daha yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Geliri giderinde yüksek olan öğrencilerde fen bilimleri bölümünü seçme oranı daha yüksek bulunmuştur.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe people, whose profession is suitable for them to work in their job willingly, have a career in it carry on their life as happy and abundant. This study was carried out to investigate factors that affect profession choice of university students. The study sample was chosen randomly and consists of 1000 student enrolling the Ege University. A questionnaire form was used in collecting the data. Data were analyzed by using Chi-square test. It was found that 41.6% of students choose their profession because of positive opinions related to the profession, 34.4% of them choose because of hopelessness, 39.6% of them choose believing that they had some advantages related to the profession, 33.5% of them choose because of others’ suggestions related to the profession. The majority of students choose their profession because of their positive opinions about the profession. It was found that their point/score, preferring range, their mothers’ education and profession affected their choice about the profession. It was found that the rate of choosing the profession because of feeling hopelessness and choosing profession because of others’ suggestions were higher in students who gain the last rows preference than others. The rate of choosing the branch of natural science was found to be higher in students whose income is higher than outcome.en_US
