Özet
4. SUMMARY in this study, the catalytic isomerisation of ot~ p i nene to camphene was investigated. The most selective catalyst and operating conditions were examined and kinetics of the reaction was also investigated. The most selective catalyst was found to be el inopti lol ite (natural zeolite) with a composition of 74.86 */. SiO£, 0.42 '/? Fe^O-3, 0.70 % MgO, 0.50 '/. Na^3, £.71 % K^D, 9.04 % H^3, 2.42 % CaO, 9.35 % A1^D3. Optimum production conditions of camphene by the isomer i sat ion reaction of «rfrpinene were as follows: reaction temperature İ55ÖC, reaction time 2 hours and catalyst amount S.5 g. At these optimum conditions the yield of camphene was 4H.S4 %. The kinetic investigation of the isomerisation reaction of o^-p inene showed that reaction is a first order parellel system. Main products of the reaction were camphene and 1 i mo nene. Rate constants for the production of camphene and for the production of 1 i mo nene were obtained as kj =3.020 x 10"^ e--33381,6/RT and k2 = İ.576 jk i0~e e -31096. 53/RT } respectively, at the temperature range 130 - İ55°C. 61
