| dc.description.abstract | At the end of 1991 by the dismantling of the Soviet Union (SU), the fifteen successor states of SU have found themselves in a struggle of survival as independent states. The overall process of breaking up from the union and establishing their own states upon was totally harsh for all of them but the Central Asia mostly due to the fact that they have been properly lacked of necessary equipment of state-building in social, economic and political regards. In that sense, each of the Central Asian republics have mostly challenged by another factors since their declaration of independence. As for the Kyrgyz case, it has been "tribalism", which is mostly tempering state formation. Having an important role in distributing political power, tribal affiliations create problems for the competitive nature of elite selection and continue its dominancy over the political leaders in political processes of state-building. | en_US |
