dc.description.abstractTiroid hemiagenezisi, tiroid dokusunun embriyonik gelişimi sırasında oluşan defekt sonucu görülen ve oldukça nadir rastlanan bir tiroid patolojisidir. Literatürde, günümüze dek yaklaşık 260 tiroid hemiagenezisi olgusu rapor edildi. Tiroid hemiagenezisi, genellikle tiroid hormon bozukluğu nedeniyle tetkik edilirken tesadüfen saptanmaktadır. Hemiagenezinin tanısı, sıklıkla tetkik sırasında görüntüleme yöntemleri eşliğinde konulmaktadır. Bu sunumda preoperatif dönemde sintigrafik olarak ortaya konamayan bir tiroid hemiagenezisi olgusu sunulmaktadır. Tiroid agenezisi çok ender görülse de, cerrahi tedavi kararını değiştirebilecek yanılgıların önüne geçebilmek amacıyla her bir görüntüleme yönteminin aralarında multidisipliner bir anlayış içerisinde değerlendirilmesi gerektiği düşüncesindeyiz.en_US
dc.description.abstractHemiagenesis of the thyroid gland is a rare anomaly in which one thyroid lobe fails to develop during embriological development. Up to now about 260 cases have been reported in the literature. Only during investigations for other thyroid diseases leads to the occasional detection of thyroid hemiagenesis. In this report, we are presenting a case where preoperative scintigrafic evaluations failed to diagnose thyroid hemiagenesis. Although hemiagenesis of the thyroid is a rare abnormality, each diagnostic work-up must be evaluated in a muitidisciplinary approach to prevent misinterpretations which can affect the operative approach.en_US
