Özet
Lotus yaprakları kendi kendini temizleyebilme özelliğine sahiptir. Araştırmacılar tarafından uygulanan zor lekeler dahi yağmur damlaları ile kolayca temizlenebilmektedir. Yaprağın nano yapısının bilinmesi ile birlikte bina kaplamaları, uçaklar, arabalar ve tekstiller gibi birçok alanda kullanılmaya başlamıştır.
Lotus leaves have self-cleaning properties. Persistent stains applied by researchers were easily removed by rain droplets and rolled off the leaf. By the discovery of the hydrophob and nanostructured surface of this leaf, lots of end uses, particularly as coatings for buildings, aircraft, cars and textiles, have began.
