Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı Türk imalat sanayinin teknoloji düzeyine göre bölgesel uzmanlaşmasını İstatistiki Bölge Birimi Sınıflandırması düzey 2 (İBBS 2 düzeyinde) 2009-2014 dönemi için yoğunlaşma oranı ve yerelleşme eğrisi yardımıyla imalat sanayindeki istihdam açısından analiz etmektir. Ampirik bulgulara göre Türk imalat sanayinde ileri ve orta-ileri teknoloji düzeylerinde bölgesel uzmanlaşma yüksektir. Türkiye’nin batı bölgelerinin doğu bölgelerine oranla ileri ve orta-ileri teknolojilerde daha yüksek yoğunlaşma katsayılarına sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Ayrıca metropol bölgelere komşu olan bölgelerin çoğunda yoğunlaşma katsayıları özellikle ileri ve orta ileri teknolojili imalat sanayinde artmıştır.
The aim of this study is to analyze the specialization of the Turkey’s manufacturing industry based on general manufacturing employment regarding to technology level in NUTS2 regions covering the period of 2009-2014, employing localization quotient (LQ) and Localization Curve analysis. Empirical findings suggest that there is a high level of regional specialization in high and medium-high technology level in Turkish manufacturing industry. The western region of Turkey has higher location quotient in high and medium-high technology levels than that of eastern regions. Also the location quotient coefficient of neighbors of metropolitan cities is rising especially in high and medium high technology manufacturing.
