dc.description.abstractCrisis is any event that can harm institution's, its facilities, its finances or its reputation. Crisis management is the art of making decisions to head off or mitigate these kinds of effects. This study discusses the practical and research implications of social media in crisis management with several examples through the case studies. These cases clearly demonstrate that companies should exploit the inbound and outbound communication, networking, and collaboration capabilities of social media for including several other stakeholders into their crisis management strategies.en_US
