dc.description.abstractAnkara Sami Ulus Çocuk Hastanesi'nde yatan yaşlan 1,5 ile 2 arasında olan üç hasta Şubat-Mayıs 2002 tarihleri arasında IFAT yöntemi ile serolojik olarak Kala-Azar tanısı almış ve daha sonra incelenen kemik iliği aspirasyon materyallerinde de amastigot formları görülmüştür. Bu hastaların Çorum ilinin üç farklı köyünden geldiklerinin tespit edilmesi üzerine, 13-16 Haziran 2002 tarihleri arasında Il Sağlık Müdürlüğü ile işbirliği halinde bölgedeki durumu ortaya koymak amacıyla bu köylere gidilmiştir. 1-12 yaş arasındaki 249 çocuğun kan örneği alınmış ve fizik muayeneleri yapılmıştır. Alınan örnekler DFAT ile incelenmiş ve sadece Küçükerikli köyünde hepatosplenomegali saptanan bir çocukta (%0,6) 1:512 sulandınmda seropozitiflik saptanmıştır. Saptanan olguların, Kala-Azar için endemik olduğu bilinen bölgelerin dışında bir yöreden olması nedeniyle hekimlerin dikkatinin çekilmesi amaçlanmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThree patients aged 1.5-2 years in the Ankara Sami Ulus Children's Hospital were given the diagnosis of kala azar using the IFAT method between February-May 2002. Later, amastigote forms were seen in aspiration material from bone marrow. After learning that these patients came from 3 different villages in the province of Çorum, the authors in cooperation with Health Directorship of the province went to the area in order to investigate the situation. Blood samples were taken from 249 children aged between 1-12 years and they were given a physical examination. The blood samples were examined with IFAT and only one child with hepatosplenomegaly in the Küçükerikli Village was found to be seropositive with a titer of 1:512 (0.6%). The aim of this investigation was to inform physicians that kala azar has been found in an area outside the known endemic regions.en_US
