The method involves an application of Guo-Krasnosel'skii fixed point theorem. By using double fixed point theorem, we establish results on the existence of two positive solutions with suitable growth conditions imposed on the nonlinear term. We also provide an example to demonstrate our results.Öğe Existence of Positive Solutions for Third-Order m-Point Boundary Value Problems with Sign-Changing Nonlinearity on Time Scales(Hindawi Publishing Corporation, 2012) Tokmak, Fatma; Karaca, Ilkay YaslanA four-functional fixed point theorem and a generalization of Leggett-Williams fixed point theorem are used, respectively, to investigate the existence of at least one positive solution and at least three positive solutions for third-order m-point boundary value problem on time scales with an increasing homeomorphism and homomorphism, which generalizes the usual p-Laplacian operator. In particular, the nonlinear term f(t, u) is allowed to change sign. Zaman skalasında delta ve nabla türevi içeren ikinci mertebeden bir boyutlu p-Laplacian sınır deger problemi ele alınmıs ve sonsuz aralıktaki zaman skalası üzerinde pozitif çözümlerinin varlıgı incelenmistir. Bunun için öncelikle koni, Banach uzayı, tamamen sürekli operatör ve fonksiyonel tanımları verilmistir. Ayrıca, sınır deger probleminin pozitif çözümlerinin varlıgı için gerekli teoremler verilmistir.
