A specimen of the invasive mytilid mussel Brachidontes pharaonis (Fischer P., 1870) was collected on 18 April 2007 in Karaburun Peninsula, İzmir. This record represents the northernmost occurrence of the species along the Aegean coast of Turkey. Information on the distribution of the species along the Mediterranean coast of Turkey is provided. © 2007 The Author(s). Journal compilation.
