Özet
A single individual of Pelagia noctiluca (Forsskål, 1775) with an approximate bell diameter of 10 cm was obser ved and photographed from Paşalimanı Island on 12 December 2021, located at the south of Sea of Marmara. The speci es was hi therto known onl y from the Aegean and Levanti ne coasts of Turkey and the present record si gni fi cantl y expands i ts di stri buti on range. There are currentl y no si gns of an est abl i shed P. noctiluca popul ati on, but moni tori ng studi es are cert ai nl y requi red to detect any possi bl e further records from the regi on. © 2022, Historical Society of Southern Primorska of Koper.
