Özet

This study investigates the changing representations of "bosses" in Turkish Cinema through socioeconomic changes in Turkey. Within the study, the relation between the construction of the boss as a character in cinema from 1960' s to 2000's and socioeconomic structure has been examined. As a result of this examination, it is shown how leadership styles and consumption patterns are affecting that era's work life and image of bosses. With reference to cinema's response to social dynamics and influence over social dynamics, in this research how boss as a character and work life has been transferred over Turkish Cinema in the context of changing management perceptions has been examined. The movies which have been analyzed were divided into two periods as before 1980 and later and a content analysis is conducted to these to distinct theories.
