Özet

Ecological conditions in Turkey provide a huge advantage for ornamental plants. Cut-flower production and trade is one of the developing sectors. Due to the geographical conditions and climate characteristics, ornamental plants are widely produced in Turkey, especially in the Mediterranean, Aegean and Marmara regions. in this study, the Eskisehir Saricakaya District - where the main source of livelihood is agriculture - was studied in terms of ornamental plant production. Saricakaya was selected as the location for the study because the area is located within the geographical boundaries of the Central Anatolian Region, which exhibits the characteristics of a Mediterranean microclimate. in the trials, "Cheerfulness", "Grand Soleil d'or", "Carlton", "Actea" and "Constantinopolitanus" varieties of daffodil were used. It was determined that cut flower daffodil cultivation can be carried out in both greenhouse and open-field environments, and the yield values of "Constantinopolitanus", "Actea" and "Carlton" varieties were especially high. in addition, greenhouse cultivation in particular was found to be more suitable for cut-flower quality early in the year.
