Oidium neolycopersici, causal agent of powdery mildew on many crops is regarded as a significant problem for greenhouse tomato cultivation. The pathogen was recorded in Western Turkey in 2006. Aiming to find out alternative chemicals comparable with synthetic fungicides for especially organic production WP S, NaHCO3, K2SiO3, KH2PO4, H2O2, H2O2+ WP S and trifloxystrobin were tested against the pathogen in a growth chamber and in a greenhouse by using tomato cv. "SC-2121". WP S and K2SiO3 were found as the most effective chemicals in the growth chamber, whereas the combination H2O2+WP S and WP S gave the best results under the greenhouse conditions. It was detected that the synthetic fungicide trifloxystrobin was unable to control the disease satisfactorily.en_US
