Earthquakes, model systems and connections to q-statistics

In this work, we make an attempt to review some of the recent studies on earthquakes using either real catalogs or synthetic data coming from some model systems. A common feature of all these works is the use of q-statistics as a tool. © 2012 Versita Warsaw and Springer-Verlag Wien.
