Özet
Cardiac disease is an important cause of maternal mortality and morbidity in pregnancy. Improvements in the obstetrics field have enabled better observation of pregnant patients suffering cardiac diseases resulting in an increase in the number of cases reported. The treatments of these patients constitute a major challenge for anesthesiologists. We aimed to discuss on two patients with cardiac disease, scheduled for caesarean section under combined spinal-epidural anesthesia with low-dose local anesthetic and opioids, instead of general anesthesia.
