dc.description.abstractSolar air collectors are used for drying of agricultural, textile and marine product, and in the space heating. In this study, a mathematical model for calculating the thermal efficiency of a flat plate solar collector having a single glass cover and an absorber plate in between which an air flow channel exists is presented and linear and quadratic sets of equations are proposed for its thermal efficiency. Thermal efficiency equations are derived with respect to flow rate and various operating parameters (insolations, inlet temperature, ambient temperature).en_US
