dc.description.abstractWe present the usability evaluation of a student information system with eye tracking method and the competitive usability tests that we performed. After the initial evaluation process, we defined some usability improvements and a new system is developed which includes these improvements. The comparison results show that the design of the second system is more usable than the first system in terms of task completion time, time to first fixation on target, number of fixations, and fixation duration. With these results, it is shown that the usability in the student information systems can be systematically enhanced with the improvements at the interface.en_US
