Özet

Nowadays, time management can be a competitive advantage for the companies in the global markets. Time management includes tools or techniques for planning and scheduling time, usually with the aim to increase the effectiveness of time use. Managing times is the mirror image of managing quality, cost, innovation and productivity. Reducing wasted time automatically improves other measures of performance. Clothing sector like the other sectors is affected intensively by the time factor in the various dimensions. This situation necessitates the examination of time in details. In this study, theoretical approach to time concept is presented. For this purpose workflows of 33 different products and unit times of seam operations lied on workflows were studied. Unit times of operations were determined by using the method proposed by REFA. Critical path method (CPM) was used in the showing of workflows of products. According to the principles of CPM, critical paths were found for each product. Cycle times and execution times of products studied and various variables related to them were examined statistically.
