Extravasation is one of the most important complications that may be encountered during the implementation of chemotherapy drugs. Especially for children peripheral intravenous chemotherapy implementation in terms of extravasation is very risky. A 10 year-old female patient diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, received chemotheraphy treatment during a 33-day hospitalization period. Extravasation developed due to intravenous vincristine administration in the right antecubital area. Complete remission was achieved after 8 weeks. Although the case is an example of the administration error of chemotherapy agents, it draws attention to the direct intervention of extravasation and emphasizes the prolongation of the healing process. The case is presented under the guidance of nursing diagnoses.en_US
