Özet
The paper deals with determining net fabric usage and the relationships among the variables of size, fabric width, check dimensions, and the acceptability of matching pattern. Jacket and trousers patterns are initially made for the most common sizes, which are 46, 48, 50, 52. Cutting plans are made considering fabric widths (144, 146 and 148 cm), various check sizes and pattern order assumptions. In making cutting plans, a continuous size placement, keeping each size pattern in the same area, is carried out. Fabric costs depending on size, pattern width and pattern match areas are determined. The paper contributes to establishing the factors that affect fabric consumption in the fabrics with check patterns.
