dc.description.abstractCongenital syphilis is preventable with proper antenatal follow-up and treatment of the pregnant woman infected with Treponema pallidum, and the rapid evaluation and early treatment of the newborns. Here we report a newborn with early congenital syphilis presenting with maculopapular rash and positive treponemal test born to an inadequately treated syphilitic mother.en_US
