Öğe An additional population of Lyciasalamandra atifi veithi (Urodela: Salamandridae)(Universitatea din Oradea, 2018) Oğuz M.A.; Kariş M.; Göçmen B.; Veith M.; Godmann O.A new population of Lyciasalamandra atifi is presented from Ürünlü village, Ibradı district, based on fieldwork conducted in March 2015. After morphological and statistical investigation we conclude that the Ürünlü population has a morphology similar to that of Lyciasalamandra atifi veithi from Dikmen village, Akseki district. We also uncover the Manavgat river locality that could not be confirmed by previous studies. © Biharean Biologist, Oradea, Romania, 2018.Öğe Genetic confirmation of the occurrence and notes on the ecology of the yellow-bellied toad, Bombina variegata (L., 1758) (Amphibia: Bombinatoridae) in the European part of Turkey(British Herpetological Society, 2017) Karis M.; Veith M.; Gocmen B.; Oguz M.A.; Sener D.; Kurt B.We confirmed the occurrence and report some ecological traits of the yellow-bellied toad, Bombina variegata from Turkish Thrace. The specimens were caught in April 2016 from ponds and several streams of Karacahasan Mountain, Enez District, Edirne Province. In order to determine and confirm its systematic position, we genetically analysed the tissue samples of caught specimens. We also present some behavioural data of the species.Öğe Two new populations of Lyciasalamandra flavimembris substantially extend the genus' distribution range in Anatolia(Universitatea din Oradea, 2020) Oğuz M.A.; Göçmen B.; Kariş M.; Ehl S.; Veith M.We report on two new populations of Lyciasalamandra flavimembris from Bodrum/Muğla, based on fieldwork in March 2018. We studied the new populations morphologically and genetically (16SrDNA). According to these records, the known distribution range of the genus is extended about 40 km to the West. Morphologically and genetically, specimens from these two populations show similarities to both subspecies described so far. © Biharean Biologist, Oradea, Romania, 2020
