Öğe Fe3O4-SiO2-MIL-53 (Fe) nanocomposite for magnetic dispersive micro-solid phase extraction of cadmium (II) at trace levels prior to HR-CS-FAAS detection(Elsevier Ltd, 2023) Soylak, M.; Uzcan, F.; Göktaş, O.; Gümuş, Z.P.A magnetic metal–organic framework Fe3O4-SiO2-MIL-53 (Fe) nanocomposite was synthesized for magnetic dispersion micro-solid phase extraction (M-d-µSPE) of cadmium in water, spice, chocolate, tea, and tobacco samples prior to the detection by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Fe3O4-SiO2-MIL-53 (Fe) nanocomposite fabricated using the solvothermal technique was characterized using a field emission scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffraction. The extraction efficiency of the method was improved by optimizing the experimental factors. After optimization, the linearity range for Cd (II) was 4.3–500 µgL-1. The limits of detection and quantification were 1.3 and 4.3 µgL-1, respectively. The presented magnetic dispersion-micro solid phase extraction method was applied to Cd (II) analysis in food and some environmental samples. © 2023 Elsevier LtdÖğe Layered Double Hydroxides (LDHs) for the Treatment and Determination of Pollutants in Water and Wastewater(Taylor and Francis Ltd., 2023) Gumus, Z.P.; Erbas, Z.; Soylak, M.Detection and removal of trace amounts of toxic organic and inorganic pollutants in water and wastewater is important for the entire ecosystem. The development of new materials for the determination and removal of contaminants is constantly necessary. Layer double- hydroxides (LDHs) form a broad class of nanomaterials that represent anionic clay composite material used in research and development applications to protect the environment from pollutants. LDH structures functionalized with carbon-based materials are promising adsorbents in the extraction of organic and inorganic pollutants through adsorption and ion exchange mechanisms due to their increased versatility. This review describes recent studies on carbon-containing structure-based LDH composites used in the determination and removal of organic and inorganic pollutants in water and wastewater. Thus, it will lead to the realization of new studies for the determination and removal of different pollutants in other matrices besides water samples of LDHs. © 2023 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
