Öğe Ebelik Öğrencilerinin Ebelik Eğitiminin Akreditasyonu Konusundaki Görüş ve Algıları(2023) Ekşioğlu, Aysun; Hadımlı, Aytül; Demir, Emine; Akan, Ayşenur; Turfan, Esin CeberAmaç: Bu araştırma, ebelik öğrencilerinin ebelik eğitiminin akreditasyonu hakkındaki algı ve görüşlerini incelenmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntemler: Kesitsel tipteki çalışma Mart-Nisan 2022 tarihlerinde bir üniversitede ebelik bölü münde okuyan toplam 418 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler online veri toplama yöntemiyle,- tanıtıcı özellikler ile akreditasyona ilişkin görüşleri değerlendiren sorulardan oluşan anket formu ve “Akreditasyon Algısı Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Çalışma verilerinin analizi SPSS 22 paket programı ile yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin %68,7’si akreditasyonun ne anlama geldiğini bilmekte, %54,5’i öğrencilere ve mezunlara yarar sağlayacağını düşünmektedir. Öğrencilerin Akreditasyon Algısı Ölçeği genel puan ortalamaları 4,09 ± 0,98’dir. Kalite Güvencesi alt boyutu genel ortalaması 4,08 ± 0,99, Kalite Değerlendirme alt boyutu genel ortalaması 4,10 ± 0,97’dir. Öğrencilerin puan ortalaması madde düzey kabulü sınıflandırmasına göre yüksek düzeydedir. Bilimsel etkinliğe katılan, akreditasyonun amacını, iç/ dış paydaşı bilen, akreditasyon çalışmalarında yer almak isteyen, kalite elçilerini ve bölümün misyon/ vizyonunu bilenlerde akreditasyon algısı ölçek puanları anlamlı olarak yüksek bulunmuştur (P < ,001). Sonuç: Çalışmada ebelik öğrencilerinin akreditasyonu yararlı bulduğu ve bu konuda destekleyici tutuma sahip oldukları bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin, akreditasyon çalışmalarının içinde aktif olarak yer alması ve bu konuda farkındalık eğitimlerinin düzenlenmesi, akreditasyonun tanınırlığında ve benimsenmesinde etkili olabilir.Öğe Effects of the Oxytocin Hormone on Pelvic Floor Muscles in Pregnant Rats(MDPI, 2023) Demir, Emine; Mutluay, Sukriye Deniz; Buyuknacar, Hacer SinemBackground and Objectives: Oxytocin induction is a known risk factor for pelvic floor disorders (PFDs). The aim of the study was to investigate the effects of oxytocin induction on pelvic floor muscles in pregnant rats. Methods: Thirty-two female Wistar rats were included and divided into four groups (n = 8). The groups were as follows: virgin group (group I)-from which muscles were dissected at the beginning of the experiment; spontaneous vaginal delivery (group II) which has delivery spontaneously; saline control group (group III) and oxytocin group (group IV). In groups III and IV, pregnancy was induced on d 21 of pregnancy, with 2.5 mU saline solution or iv oxytocin, respectively, delivered by the intravenous (iv) route in pulses at 10-min intervals for 8 h. Then, the rats were euthanized, the m. coccygeus, m. iliocaudalis and m. pubocaudalis muscles were excised and tissue samples were taken. After histological processing, the vertical and horizontal dimensions of the muscles were analyzed under a light microscope. Results: In group IV; the measurement of the horizontal dimension of the m. pubocaudalis muscles was 50.1 +/- 5.4 mu m and it was significantly higher than other groups (p < 0.001). In group III; the mean value of the horizontal dimension of m. coccygeus muscle was found to be 49.5 +/- 10.9 mu m and it was significantly higher than other groups (p < 0.009). Between-group comparisons revealed no difference in mean m. iliocaudalis muscle dimension (p > 0.05). Conclusions: As a result of our study it can say that whether oxytocin induced or not, vaginal birth is a process that affects the pelvic muscles.Öğe An online communication skills education program for midwifery students: A quasi-experimental study(Churchill Livingstone, 2024) Akmese, Zehra Baykal; Demir, Emine; Oran, Nazan TunaBackground: Communication and entrepreneurship skills, which have a very important place among the 21st century skills, are among the basic skills that a midwife should have. Objective: This study was carried out to investigate the effect of the Communication Skills Education Program on the communication and entrepreneurship skills of the midwifery students. Design: This study was designed a quasi-experimental study. Settings: Online. Participants: First grade Bachelor of Midwifery Science students (n = 117). Methods: In this study, the Communication Skills Education Program was given to midwifery students. The Communication Skills Assessment Scale and University Students Entrepreneurship Scale were administered before the education program was implemented (pre-test), when the training program was completed (post-test), and six months after the education program was completed (post-test). Classified data were given in numbers and percentage distribution. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to determine the relationship between the variables. In order to test the significance of the difference between pre-test, post-test and follow-test the repeated measures Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was performed. Results: The mean age of the participating students was 19.46 +/- 1.74 (min. 18.0, max: 31.0) years. While 8.5 % of the students received training on communication previously, 7.7 % of the students received education on entrepreneurship previously. Statistically significant differences were determined between the scores the students obtained at the pre-test, post-test and follow-up test [F = 224.38, p = .00/F = 325.13, p = .00]. The Bonferroni test performed to find out from which tests the difference stemmed demonstrated that there was a significant difference between the mean scores obtained at all the tests. According to the analysis of the relationship between the mean scores the students obtained from the scales, there was a moderately significant positive correlation only between their pre-test mean scores. Conclusions: In conclusion, we determined that the Communication Skills Education Program improved the students' communication and entrepreneurship skills.
