The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, FT-IR, H-1 NMR spectroscopy. The spectroscopic studies show that apesh behaves as a monodentate ligand coordinating via imine N donor atom in (1)-(4) and as tridentate ligand in (5). (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V.
